"That’s simple," Vera Xavier said with a grin. "Before I left home, I prayed to the deity enshrined at my door. The deity told me I was bound to run into a scoundrel on this trip, so he granted me unparalleled luck. He said that as long as I trusted my intuition, I’d be able to completely crush any shameless lowlifes. The Buddha, truly, does not deceive!"

Everyone was speechless.

Vera Xavier nodded with a smile. "In that case, let’s cut open the rest of them!"

And so, they cut open several more pieces, revealing more icy jade, and even one extremely rare piece of Yellow Jade!

A haul like this was a hundred times more impressive than what a professional jade consultant could manage. What was most important was that Vera Xavier had picked the stones with the worst outward appearance. No one had achieved such results since the day The Jade Market opened for business.

Finally, only the large stone block remained. After the cutter sliced it open, the kaleidoscopic colors inside dazzled everyone’s eyes. When all the colors were finally revealed...

Susan Caldwell’s jade consultant and Alistair Forrest’s entire team went wild. "Red, green, yellow, white, purple... My heavens, five colors! It’s a Five-Fortune Arrival!"

In the building at the very back of The Jade Market, a fierce fight had been raging for some time. However, due to the deafening noise of the stone-cutting machine, everyone’s attention was fixed on the jade. No one had noticed a thing happening outside.

The explosion had occurred because a drug lord had detonated explosives. The two buildings weren’t far from each other, so they had been caught in the blast.
