Giant Dragon Lord: Starting from Daily Intelligence

Chapter 429 - 365: Domain Level Peak, Wind God Winged Dragon King

Chapter 429 - 365: Domain Level Peak, Wind God Winged Dragon King

Gordo felt like his brain couldn’t keep up.

Raylo paid no mind to Gordo’s shock. His entire focus was fixed on the distant horizon.

A dark speck appeared.

At first, it was just a blurry shadow, but it was closing in at a speed that defied imagination.

In the span of a few short breaths, the dark speck had become clearly discernible. Its silhouette made the hearts of everyone present sink.

It was a Wind God Winged Dragon.

A... terrifying Giant Beast, several times larger than the one they had just killed.

Its wingspan likely exceeded three hundred meters. Each scale shimmered with a gunmetal-black luster, and its body was wreathed in visible vortexes of raging wind.

A terrifying pressure, like that of a collapsing mountain, washed over them from a great distance, blotting out the sky.

It was the aura of a king, a terrifying existence at the Domain Peak.

The leader of the Wind God Winged Dragons!

Raylo’s gaze instantly turned incredibly sharp.

He quickly assessed their fighting strength.

Kado, Gordo, Sun—three at the Domain Level.

Plus Moonlight, who had reached the Domain Level but had yet to fight.

That made it four against one.

Adding himself to the count, though he hadn’t yet entered the Domain, Raylo was confident he could take it down—even a Domain Level Peak—relying on his various trump cards and methods.

’Let’s do this!’

’A top-tier Magical Beast like this is a treasure trove.’

’Its Essence Blood, Magic Core, sinews, and bones are of incalculable value.’

’Fortune favors the bold!’

"Kado! Gordo!"

Raylo’s voice snapped the still-dazed Gordo out of his stupor.

"Prepare for battle!"

They had collected most of the Wind God Winged Dragon’s Dragon Blood. There was no more time to waste.

He turned to Coal Ball, who was craning its neck curiously from his shoulder.

"Coal Ball, put away the barrels and the corpse!"

Upon receiving the command, Coal Ball immediately waddled over to the Wind God Winged Dragon’s corpse.

It tilted its head back, and its tiny mouth flew open. A miniature, spinning vortex materialized within it.

A powerful spatial suction emanated from the vortex. The barrels filled with Dragon Blood were swallowed one by one. The mountain-sized dragon corpse began to twist and shrink, pulled bit by bit into the vortex that looked utterly out of proportion to its body.

Just as the very tip of the Wind God Winged Dragon’s tail was about to disappear into Coal Ball’s mouth, Raylo’s pupils contracted violently.

He saw them. On the distant horizon, behind the massive Leader Level Wind God Winged Dragon, more dark specks had appeared.

One, two, three...

It was a squad of Wind God Winged Dragons!

Including the Wind God Winged Dragon King, there were a total of six Wind God Winged Dragons.

Raylo’s scalp tingled, and a chill shot from the soles of his feet straight to the crown of his head.

The soaring ambition that had ignited within him moments before was instantly doused, as if by a bucket of ice water.

’Forget fighting. If we’re too slow, we’re all going to be snacks for the Wind God Winged Dragons today!’

"Run!"

Raylo yelled at Kado and Gordo, who had been itching for a fight.

He snatched Moonlight off his shoulder and scooped up the burping Coal Ball, who had just finished swallowing the dragon corpse, into his arms.

"Kado! Gordo! Run back the way we came! Now!"

Kado and Gordo were stunned by Raylo’s sudden change of tune and his desperate roar. But when they saw the several other Wind God Winged Dragons appear on the horizon, they’d have to be fools not to realize the situation was dire.

The two Giants took off on their thick, powerful legs, sprinting back the way they had come without a single backward glance.

In the sky above, the Golden Dragon Sun let out a roar. Its enormous body banked sharply, and with a powerful flap of its wings, it kicked up a scorching gale as it flew in pursuit of the Giants.

However, their speed was nothing compared to that of the Wind God Winged Dragons.

This was especially true for the leader, the one at the Domain Peak. It seemed to have already locked onto the killers of its kin.

With just a light flap of its wings, its massive body shot forward like a bolt of cyan lightning, crossing several thousand meters in an instant and rapidly closing the distance between them.

The shadow of death descended upon them with unprecedented speed.

Among the two-legged Giants, Raylo’s transformed "Carlo" persona had been the shortest to begin with. Coupled with the fact that his own cultivation was only at the Earth Knight level, he fell to the rear of the group as they ran.

The Leader Level Wind God Winged Dragon was now nearly upon him, its mountain-shredding talons spread wide. Raylo could even smell the foul stench carried on the wind from its maw.

In that hair’s breadth of a moment, a streak of golden light whistled over his head.

It was Sun!

The Hundred-meter Golden Dragon executed a beautiful low-altitude pass, its broad, heavy back practically scraping Raylo’s scalp as it flew by.

Without a moment’s hesitation, Raylo dispelled the Transformation Magic that Moonlight had cast on him.

Amid a distortion of light, the Giant "Carlo" swiftly reverted to his human form.

Raylo pushed off powerfully with his legs, clutching Moonlight and Coal Ball to his chest as he leaped into the air.

His body traced an arc through the air, and he landed steadily on Sun’s broad back.

The Dragon Scales were warm and solid, giving him an unparalleled sense of security.

"Go!"

Raylo barked.

Sun roared and accelerated again, its golden form becoming a streak of light as it sped toward the horizon.

"Brother Carlo!"

Gordo, who was running for his life, subconsciously glanced back.

The sight made him stumble, and he nearly toppled over then and there.

He witnessed a sight he would never forget for as long as he lived.

The incomparably majestic Hundred-meter Golden Dragon was soaring high into the air. And on its broad back, which looked as if it were forged from Gold, stood a tiny human figure.

There was no mistaking that figure.

That face was unmistakably his "Brother Carlo!"

"ROAR!"

A sharp roar pierced the sky like a blade.

The Leader Level Wind God Winged Dragon had temporarily ignored the Golden Dragon in the sky, locking its sights on the two giant, living targets running on the ground.

A bolt of cyan lightning tore across the sky. In the blink of an eye, the Wind God Winged Dragon King had caught up to Gordo, who was bringing up the rear.

Its massive head plunged downward, its sharp beak like a giant siege ram. Carried on a vicious, air-tearing wind, it aimed straight for the center of Gordo’s back!

"Gordo, look out!"

Kado, running ahead, let out a roar.

Atop the Golden Dragon’s back, Raylo’s heart leaped into his throat.

’It’s too fast!’

’Kado and Gordo are no match for the speed of a Domain Level Peak!’

As the shadow of death fell over him, Gordo could even feel a sharp, prickling pain on the skin of his back.

In that critical moment, the combat instincts honed from years of hovering on the brink of death overrode his fear.

Without a second thought, he swung the Meteor Chain Hammer in his hand backward!

Propelled by the chain, the massive, spiked iron ball became a dark blur. With a low whistle, it flew unerringly toward the Wind God Winged Dragon’s descending head.

The Wind God Winged Dragon King clearly hadn’t expected such a swift counterattack from the clumsy giant. A flicker of surprise flashed in its cold, vertical pupils.

It was forced to abort its attack, tilting its head slightly to dodge the swift Meteor Chain Hammer.

That momentary delay was all Gordo needed. He scrambled and tumbled forward dozens of meters, barely dodging the fatal blow.

Even so, a vicious, bone-chilling gust of wind still lashed his backside. The Wind God Winged Dragon’s beak had missed, but the Wind Blade kicked up by its tip sliced through his thick leather pants, leaving a fiery, bloody gash.

Raylo watched this unfold from the dragon’s back, his heart wracked with anxiety.

’Gordo was lucky this time. But what about the next?’

Its first attack having missed, the Wind God Winged Dragon King flapped its wings again. Its massive body turned nimbly in the air and gave chase once more.

Its patience seemed to be wearing thin. This time, it spread its enormous, mountain-shredding talons.

’This can’t go on!’

Raylo’s mind raced.

His mind immediately jumped to his ace in the hole: the Giant Puppet.

’That Puppet is also at the Domain Level. If I send it out, it might be able to hold them off for a moment.’

But he dismissed the thought as quickly as it came.

’The Giant Puppet can’t fly. Against the Wind God Winged Dragon King, which can easily soar into the sky to evade attacks, it would be useless as a diversion. A pointless sacrifice.’

’What now?’
