Chapter 401 - 319: Dominic Blue Dragon Family, Mother and Child Reunion_3
The Blue Dragon slowly swayed its lightning-patterned tail, its tone still calm.
"I understand your concerns and suggestions, Letitia."
"However, as I have repeatedly emphasized, for our Dominic Family, tangible benefits are far more important than vague potential threats or personal vendettas."
"I will convey your ideas and proposals in full to the leader."
The Blue Dragon paused for a moment, with a hint of honesty, and continued, "However, I must also inform you in advance, based on my understanding of the family’s decision-making style, the probability that the leader will ultimately agree to join forces with you and proactively hunt down Gorsas is not high."
Although the Blue Dragon and Iron Dragon both belong to the Lawful Evil faction of Evil Dragons, their ways of thinking are significantly different.
The Blue Dragon clan is often more rational and calm, highly valuing the pros and cons and long-term planning; whereas the Iron Dragon is more resilient and stubborn, sometimes willing to pay a higher price for a goal or belief in their heart.
Without enough enticing benefits to motivate them, why would the Blue Dragon Family revolve to surround and kill a strong, insane, and extremely vengeful adult Red Dragon without reason?
Once failed, it would inevitably provoke a terrifying deadly enemy for the family.
Even if successful, besides the body of the Red Dragon which might have some value, how much substantial benefit can be obtained?
The territory under the mad Red Dragon’s rule has long been ravaged and barren, and its followers are mostly chaotic rabble, lacking any value to take over.
"...I will await your final response."
Iron Dragon Letitia remained silent for a moment, ultimately saying no more, violently vibrating her steel-like wings, her massive body soaring into the sky, flying towards her own territory.
After the simple exchange, her heart no longer held much hope for the participation of the Blue Dragon Group.
At this time, the night deepened, the boundless sky shrouded in a deep blue night curtain, with only a few sparse stars flickering with faint light.
Letitia shook her head silently, temporarily suppressing her complicated thoughts, accelerating her flight.
As the distance closed, when she gradually approached the scope of the Celestial Pit Territory.
A tremendously strong, unfamiliar yet strangely familiar aura of Long Wei, like a tangible force, came sweeping towards her.
Letitia’s heart trembled suddenly, unable to discern whom this complex scent truly belonged to, her gaze instantly becoming sharp, increasing her flight speed, speeding back to her territory like a streak of black lightning.
Soon, the familiar outline of the Celestial Pit appeared in her vision.
She started to dive downwards, while her sharp Dragon Eyes immediately locked onto a broad and solid Giant Dragon back silhouette, standing near the nest with its back to her.
The astonishing muscle mass revealed by that silhouette, the densely sharp spikes covering the entire body, the Scale Armor so heavy it seemed to be able to withstand any attack, the pair of Dragon Wings with blade-like edges, and that powerful tail filled with strength, along with the rugged, winding giant dragon horns... all conveyed signals of extreme danger to her.
Alarm bells went off in Letitia’s mind.
Boom!
Her heavy dragon body slammed hard near the entrance of the nest, her limb muscles slightly crouched, the immense magic energy within her starting to surge violently, already on full alert, poised to launch a deadly attack at any moment in a combat stance.
"Who dares to recklessly intrude into my territory!"
Iron Dragon Letitia emitted a low and threatening roar from deep within her throat, her whole body’s steel scales slightly bristling, muscles taut like a bow.
Meanwhile.
The broad, imposing and suffocatingly oppressive Dragon Shadow across from her, upon hearing her roar, slowly turned around.
When Letitia’s vigilant and sharp eyes finally saw all the details of the other’s visage clearly up close, and she distinctly smelled the mixed scent of molten iron, raging flames, and a trace of familial familiarity emanating from deep within her bloodline.
She first jerked in shock, her massive Dragon Eyes momentarily freezing.
Then, her eyes gradually opened wider, and wider... an absurd, almost making her suspect whether she was hallucinating idea uncontrollably surged from the bottom of her heart.
"Oh? My dear mother, long time no see."
Galos looked at the nearly dumbfounded Iron Dragon Lady before him, grinning, revealing a smile.
"You seem quite tense."
"Have you forgotten your once offspring already?"
Opposite, Iron Dragon Letitia’s eyes widened like saucers, her vision completely occupied by the robust Giant Dragon, exuding an aura like a prehistoric behemoth, which was significantly sturdier than her.
The unparalleled shock washed over her reason like a tidal wave, her eyes full of disbelief.
Is this a joke?!
This dragon, over twenty meters in length, weighing far more than herself, comparable to an adult dragon’s posture, is actually her offspring that hatched just a few decades ago?!
