My husband Can Cultivate

Chapter 574: The Sensible Young Girl

Chapter 574: The Sensible Young Girl

"Yes, whatever happens, it has nothing to do with us!"

These people were truly frightened. It seemed Blockhead Kong was a malignant tumor. Although Yang Qi had dealt with the big shots, he had not had time to handle these low-level thugs. He would have to remind those in charge about them.

Before long, over a dozen cars roared into the residential complex, and dozens of men swarmed up the stairs, cramming into the hallway.

The man in the lead was tall and burly, clearly a Martial Artist, though his Realm wasn’t high. He was probably just an Innate Martial Artist, not even a Master, let alone a Grandmaster, Great Grandmaster, or Overlord.

This must be Blockhead Kong.

Peering through peepholes and door cracks, many residents saw Blockhead Kong and trembled with fear.

"It’s over, it’s over! Blockhead Kong really came!"

"This kid is dead for sure. Of all people, he had to offend Blockhead Kong!"

"Sigh, what a pity. Even if you’re in the right, is Blockhead Kong the type to listen to reason?"

The crowd sighed endlessly. They felt sorry for Yang Qi but didn’t dare to step out and help, knowing how brutal Blockhead Kong was and that he was not someone to be crossed.

"Boss Kong, save me! Save me! This bastard is making me kneel here!" Lao Jiu wailed.

"Kid, let him go right now, or I’ll make you regret it!" Blockhead Kong glanced at Yang Qi and said viciously. Apparently, he had never seen Yang Qi before; otherwise, he would not have been so brazen.

"Aren’t you going to ask what your men did?" Yang Qi said calmly. "They broke into a private residence at night, armed, and tried to assault a decent woman. Don’t you think he deserves to die?"

"Cut the crap. Whatever my men did, they did. So what? I allowed it," Blockhead Kong said with disdain.

"I understand. It seems the rot starts at the very top," Yang Qi sneered. "Fine. Today, it’s not just them who will die. You’re going to die too." He had initially planned to give the Kong Family a chance, which was why he had asked that question. But he never expected the man to be so nonchalant. He was clearly cut from the same cloth as Lao Jiu.

"Hahaha, you want to kill me? You think you’re so tough? Do you have any idea how many men I brought with me? Get him! Kill this kid!" Blockhead Kong roared with laughter and gave the order.

"Forget dozens of men. Even if you brought an entire army, do you think I’d be afraid?"

A cold light flashed in Yang Qi’s eyes. He ushered Guo Yuxue into the apartment and then turned to face the dozens of men rushing toward him, unleashing a flurry of punches and kicks.

He knocked them all to the ground. Some even tumbled down the stairs, sustaining serious injuries.

The onlookers were stunned. No wonder this young man was so defiant—he was a trained fighter, and an incredibly skilled one at that.

"Interesting. So you’re a trained fighter. No wonder you’re so arrogant. In that case, I’ll test your skills myself," Blockhead Kong sneered. He stomped on the ground and pounced toward Yang Qi like a cheetah, his fists aimed straight for Yang Qi’s head.

"Martial Arts are not meant for bullying people!"

Yang Qi snorted and threw a punch of his own, meeting Blockhead Kong’s fist head-on.

CRACK!

Blockhead Kong’s arms shattered instantly. Blood sprayed through the air as his screams echoed throughout the entire floor.

"You! You! Who in the world are you!" Blockhead Kong was terrified. To be so young and so powerful... he can’t possibly be some nobody!

"You don’t need to know who I am," Yang Qi stated coldly. "What you need to know is that today is your last. Not even the King of Heaven can save you now."

"Hahaha, you want to kill me? Do you even know who I am? I’m from the Kong Family of the Four Gates and Six Clans! Our Kong Family is part of the Star Shining Society, which just annihilated the Tang Family of Sea City. You dare to fight me? With one phone call, I can summon an expert ten times stronger than you to beat you to death!" Blockhead Kong gritted his teeth and burst into laughter.

Although his identity is worrying, on second thought, there’s nothing to fear. The Kong Family’s status in Thunder City is at an all-time high. Who is there to be afraid of?

"Heh, ten times stronger than me?" Yang Qi laughed. "Alright, I’ll give you that chance. But they won’t get to live!"

With that, Yang Qi walked over and killed Lao Jiu and the other two men on the spot.

These three had committed such atrocities three years ago, and in all that time, they had shown no remorse. Instead, they had returned for revenge. What use was there in keeping such people alive?

After killing them, Yang Qi immediately left with Guo Yuxue. It was best to abandon the apartment.

"Punk, just you wait! I’ll make your life a living hell! I swear it!" Blockhead Kong roared as his men carried him away for medical treatment.

Yang Qi didn’t kill him then, not because he was sparing him, but because he wanted to do it in front of Kong Tianjian. He wanted to show Kong Tianjian that running a family wasn’t just about making money; it was also about educating its members. Otherwise, a single scoundrel like this could tarnish the entire reputation of the Star Shining Society.

"Yang Qi, you have to run away! Hurry! Otherwise, you’ll end up like Lin Tao! Even if you don’t, they’ll still kill you!" Guo Yuxue was in a full-blown panic. Yang Qi had helped her, but now she had brought this catastrophe upon him. She was sick with regret. I never should have brought him here. Then none of this would have happened. I would rather die myself!

"Yuxue!" Yang Qi gripped Guo Yuxue’s shoulders and smiled. "Don’t panic. This will all be over soon. Let’s go to the hospital and see your daughter. I’m a doctor, after all. Maybe I can help."

"But—!"

Guo Yuxue was still frantic, unsure how she could possibly help him. But seeing his calm expression, she felt a little dazed.

What is Yang Qi’s background? Why isn’t he afraid of the Kong Family?

Still in a daze, Guo Yuxue led Yang Qi to the hospital.

"Mom, you can go home and rest. I’ll look after Tongtong," Guo Yuxue said as she saw her mother-in-law out. "This is a Divine Doctor I invited. Perhaps he has a way to treat Tongtong’s illness."

In reality, those words were just empty comfort. The hospital had already issued a critical illness notice, stating Tongtong had at most six months to live. Her heart filled with despair, Guo Yuxue was simply fulfilling her duty as a mother.

Tongtong was four years old, a delicate little girl as beautiful as her mother, but the illness had left the poor child terribly withered.

Her hair had been shaved off, there was no light in her eyes, and she was hooked up to an IV drip that was only administering glucose and antibiotics.

Right now, Tongtong was simply waiting to die. The poor child had been in this world for such a short time and had not yet had the chance to enjoy all it had to offer.

"Mommy!"

Tongtong’s voice was barely a whisper, yet it was the loudest sound she could muster with all her strength. She smiled upon seeing her mother, but Guo Yuxue burst into tears.

"Mommy, don’t cry. Tongtong is just going to heaven. It won’t hurt. And I’ll watch over Mommy and Daddy from there."

Hearing her words, even Yang Qi felt his eyes well up. What a considerate child. She’s on the verge of death, yet she’s still comforting her mother.
